Michael is a passionate football journalist currently pursuing an MA in Sport Journalism at Edinburgh Napier. Alongside a degree in football coaching and performance from the University of South Wales and a UEFA B coaching license, Michael’s work is also informed by his experience in high-profile football environments. He served as a steward supervisor at the iconic Wembley Stadium, managing event operations at the heart of English football. This role gave him firsthand exposure to large-scale football events, from international fixtures to cup finals, deepening his understanding of the sport’s culture and the intense behind-the-scenes coordination that makes each match possible. In addition to Wembley, Michael has been involved in grassroots football through the Welsh charity Coalfields Regeneration Trust, where he supported football initiatives for local communities. He also spent two summers at an American summer camp in Massachusetts, further broadening his insight into football’s global impact. His journalism highlights diverse voices in football and provides nuanced coverage of Scottish clubs Motherwell and St Johnstone.
