Lee Wallace Joins Vrancken’s Coaching Staff

Hearts have announced that Lee Wallace will step into a new role at the club, joining Wouter Vrancken’s coaching team.

The 39 year old has been working with the club as their Transition Phase Coach but will now focus on the first team.

Wallace came through the Hearts academy as a player and signed his professional contact with the club in 2004, he went on to make 193 appearances for the first team across all competitions. He later moved to Rangers in 2011, where he spent 8 years, before moving to Queens Park Rangers in 2019.

He has been capped 10 times for Scotland and brings a lot of knowledge and experience with him in his new role.

He retired from his playing career in 2022 and returned to Hearts to begin his coaching journey in 2024

The change comes at a very busy time for Hearts, they start their European group stages campaign on Thursday night where they will host Nordsjæalland, before playing back to back games Thursday and Sunday until December 20th.

Wallace will be expected to help maintain and strengthen the team during this time.
