This policy explains how 1606 Ltd, trading as SNN Sports (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects and uses personal information when you visit snnsports.co.uk, sign up to our newsletter, enter our competitions or get in touch with us. We are the data controller for this information.
What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address, the date you signed up and confirmed, and whether you open our emails or click links in them.
- Contact form: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us, such as your phone number, company or club, and your message.
- Competitions and prize draws: the details you give us when you enter, such as your name, email address or social media username, and, if you win, the delivery details we need to send your prize.
- Website use: information collected by cookies and similar technologies, such as the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, your device and browser type, and an approximate location based on your IP address.
How we use it
- To send you the SNN Sports Daily newsletter and other emails you have asked for (legal basis: consent). You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To run competitions and prize draws, choose and contact winners, and arrange delivery of prizes (legal basis: performance of our agreement with you when you enter).
- To reply to messages you send us (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- To protect the site and our forms from spam and abuse (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- To understand how the site is used and to show advertising (legal basis: consent, given through our cookie settings).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the website, send emails and newsletters, measure site traffic, block spam and show advertising. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- A competition sponsor, if you win a prize they are supplying, so they can deliver it to you. We share only what is needed for delivery.
- Authorities or advisers where the law requires it.
Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contract terms, to protect it.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only what we need to make sure we do not email you again.
- Competition entries: up to 12 months after the competition closes. Winners’ details may be kept longer where needed to show a prize was awarded fairly.
- Contact form messages: up to 12 months, unless they lead to an ongoing business relationship.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to move elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To unsubscribe from emails, use the link at the bottom of any email. For anything else, contact us or email info@snnsports.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
