Scotland will travel to North Macedonia tomorrow for the third match of the international break as Sebastien Pocognoli is still on the hunt for his first win in charge of Scotland.
Scotland were defeated 3-0 at home to Switzerland on Tuesday night as Jack Hendry suffered an early red card, which seemed to open the gates for the Swiss. This follows a 0-0 draw in Ljubljana against Slovenia on Saturday.
As for North Macedonia, they were defeated 2-0 by Slovenia on Tuesday night and were also on the receiving end of a 3-0 home to defeat to Switzerland before that.
The two sides last met in 2013 as Scotland won 2-1 in Skopje thanks to a late Shaun Maloney winner. A Kenny Miller equaliser rescued a draw during the home tie.
Despite the defeat, many were full of praise for Oli McBurnie’s performance on Tuesday evening, which could see him nail down a starting place in the new look Scotland side. Jack Hendry is suspended for this fixture following his sending off.
