Dundee FC will have to contest the rest of the season without promising Manchester United loanee Jack Moorhouse after he suffered an ACL injury during a bounce game with Partick Thistle.

Moorhouse, an Ireland U-21 international, is astonishingly the third player Stephen Pressley will be unable to call upon for the rest of the season due to an ACL injury, with Simon Murray and Finlay Robertson already on the treatment table.

With three incidents of relatively rare and season-ending injury occurring so early on in the campaign, manager Stephen Pressley will have to manage his squad carefully in the weeks ahead in an attempt to build on a strong start from his team, which sees them sitting in fourth place as things stand.

Jack Moorhouse has returned to Manchester United to begin his recovery, leaving Dundee fans with a sense of what might have been. Dundee FC will return to action after the international break against Falkirk away from home on the 10th of October. Stephen Pressley will be hoping that their injury crisis does not get any worse between now and then.
