Celtic travel to Perth today looking to make it six from six at the start of the season- a win would also make it thirteen consecutive league wins for Martin O’Neill’s side.

Celtic’s perfect start after five games leaves them top of the table, whilst newly promoted St. Johnstone sit in seventh, winning twice in their opening five.

The last time these sides met, Celtic ran out 5-0 winners in the 2024/25 Scottish Cup semi-finals whilst Brendan Rodgers was in charge. The last league meeting between the two saw Simo Valakari’s side stun the champions 1-0 at McDiarmid Park thanks to an early goal from Daniels Balodis.

Josh Campbell could be in line for his St. Johnstone debut after completing a deadline day loan from Hibs. The midfielder was unavailable to face his parent club on Sunday.

Alistair Johnston and Kasper Høgh remain sidelined for Martin O’Neill’s side. Camilo Duran has done a fine job of filling in during Høgh’s absence and Benjamin Nygren remains ever-present in front of goal.
