Bojan Miovski insists he is ready to deliver goals for Rangers despite his limited game time, as he prepares to line up for North Macedonia against Scotland in the Nations League on Saturday night.

Opportunities have been hard to come by for the striker, who has been restricted to just five substitute appearances this season. However, a crucial late winner against St Mirren, which extended Rangers’ winning run to four matches, has given Miovski full belief in his ability to make an impact when called upon.

“I don’t get a lot of minutes at club level, but I scored an important goal before coming here,” Miovski said. “That gives me a lot of confidence.”

Despite that vital contribution, the Macedonian was handed just three minutes of action across the following two derby clashes against Celtic in the Premiership and League Cup quarter-finals.

Nevertheless, Miovski remains upbeat about his prospects and is determined to be ready whenever manager Derek McInnes calls on him.

“In the end, the most important thing is for the team to win, and we won both games,” he said. “When the team is winning, it’s always good. Of course, I want to be on the pitch and play more minutes, but that’s up to the manager.

“For me, it’s just about being ready and giving everything. I try to give my best in training every day, and when I get minutes, I try to help the team and score goals. If I keep doing that, I know the opportunities will come.”

Miovski was reluctant to dwell on his long-term future or the summer transfer window, during which he parted company with his agent.

“A lot happened, but I’m not focusing on that right now,” he added. “My sole focus is on the national team and Saturday’s game.”

Miovski could feature against Scotland, with both sides searching for their first win in this season’s Nations League campaign.
