Here’s a look at some of the tasty clashes in the Scottish Cup Third Round, as well as the full draw.
Clydebank v Livingston
The junior side, who enjoy a good cup upset, welcome Championship side Livingston to Holm Park.
Back in 1990, Clydebank reached the Scottish Cup semi-finals, losing 2-0 to Celtic. In the last five years, they have reached the fourth round on two occasions, losing to Annan Athletic and Hibernian in the process.
It will certainly be a difficult match for the junior side, but it is undoubtedly a game in which a cup upset could occur.
Largs Thistle v Ayr United
An Ayrshire derby, if you’d call it that, sees Largs make history by reaching the third round of the Scottish Cup for the first time in the club’s history since its founding in 1889. They will welcome Ayr United in what promises to be a mouth-watering clash.
Can Largs make even more history, or will the Championship side have too much for the junior outfit?
Troon v Raith Rovers
Another big task awaits a junior side as Raith Rovers visit Troon in the third round of the Scottish Cup.
The club was founded in 1889 and famously hosted Pelé, who trained at their ground with Brazil in 1996.
This is the furthest Troon have ever progressed in the competition, having defeated Caledonian Braves in the previous round after extra time. However, Raith Rovers present a completely different challenge, as the Championship side have been in good form this season and will be looking to avoid a cup shock.
