Stephen Robinson reveals some key players to miss Tannadice trip following virus outbreak

Tensions are growing at Pittodrie as Aberdeen slip into 11th following defeat.

Stephen Robinson joined the Dons near the end of last season amid a relegation battle in the North-East. Many fans described the appointment as a ‘panic appointment’ as the Dons looked to survive the drop, which the former St Mirren boss managed to do.

This season has been pretty underwhelming so far, with the campaign proving to be very inconsistent. The Dons began with a big opening-day win over Hearts, but since then, it’s been nothing but disappointment.

Three wins in twelve games this season, with just one win in their last seven, have caused mounting pressure on the Aberdeen boss.

Aberdeen have, at times, shown positives but haven’t been able to produce in the attacking phase. This evening, the Dons were heavily beaten by Hibernian at Pittodrie.

It’s safe to say it wasn’t a bad first half by Aberdeen, but a brilliant strike by former Aberdeen man Jamie McGrath put his side ahead, and from then on, things just began to go downhill for Aberdeen.

Substitute Callum Wright added a second after 79 minutes, with Aberdeen failing to show any character whatsoever. Soon enough, Nicky Cadden added number three, with Klidje adding a fourth in the dying moments to wrap up a first league win for Marino Reedijk.

Overall, as soon as Hibs went in front, Aberdeen didn’t show any character or fight to find a route back into the game, with Hibs putting even more pressure on the Aberdeen boss.

Chants were coming from the stands, such as “you’re not fit to wear the shirt” and “you’re getting sacked in the morning”, as frustrations turn toxic at Aberdeen, with many fans believing time is up for the former St Mirren man.

Is it time up for Stephen Robinson, and how much longer will he have in charge of Aberdeen?
